For weight loss, one should drink 8 ounces of water for every 25 pounds you are over your ideal body weight.

A 200 pound person should be drinking around 100 ounces (12.5 cups) of water in order the gain the benefits of increased energy and metabolism.

Drink a glass of water when you feel hungry between meals, or just before a meal. It kills your urge to eat.
